Grace That Restores
2026-08-10
“But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Grace is God's unmerited favour — a gift we cannot earn and do not deserve. Paul discovered that in his weakness, God's grace was not just enough; it was more than enough. It was in the broken places that God's power shone brightest. We often try to present our best selves to God, as though He only accepts polished offerings. But grace meets us in our mess. It does not wait for us to clean up before it moves. Grace reaches into the pit, lifts us out, and sets our feet on solid ground. If you are carrying the weight of failure today, hear this: God's grace is sufficient. It covers your past, sustains your present, and secures your future. You are not defined by your weakness — you are defined by the One whose power rests upon you.
Prayer
Lord, I come to You just as I am — imperfect, weary, and in need of Your grace. Thank You that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. I surrender my need to be strong on my own. Fill me afresh with Your grace today. Restore what is broken, renew what is weary, and remind me that I am held by a love that never lets go. In Jesus' name, Amen.
