The Light Within

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot he hidden.”
Matthew 5:14 (NIV)
Jesus did not say you might become the light of the world. He said you are. This is not a future aspiration — it is a present identity. The moment Christ took up residence in your heart, His light began to shine through you. Acity ona hill does not try to be visible — it simply is. In the same way, when we live authentically in Christ, our lives naturally illuminate the darkness around us. We do not need to perform or strive. We simply need to stay connected to the Source. The world is hungry for genuine light — not religious performance, but real lives transformed by real grace. Your kindness at work, your patience at home, your integrity in difficulty — these are beams of light that pierce the darkness. Today, remember: you carry the light of Christ. Let it shine — not for your glory, but for His.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me the light of the world. Help me not to hide what You have placed within me. Give me courage to shine in dark places — at work, in my neighbourhood, in my family. Let my life point others to You. Remove anything that dims Your light in me. I want to burn brightly for Your glory alone. Amen.
