Rooted in Faith

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith.”

Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)

A tree with shallow roots cannot withstand the storm. But one whose roots run deep into rich soil stands firm no matter what comes. Paul uses this image to describe the Christian life — we are to be rooted in Christ. Being rooted means drawing our identity, strength, and nourishment from Him alone. It means that when the winds of doubt blow or the rains of hardship fall, we do not topple because our foundation is secure. Faith is not a one-time decision — it is a daily deepening. Every time you open His Word, every time you choose trust over fear, every time you worship in the waiting, your roots grow deeper. Today, ask yourself: where am I drawing my strength from? Let your roots sink deep into the soil of Christ's love and watch your faith become unshakeable.
