Living Water

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever helieves in me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
John 7:37-38 (NIV)
Jesus stood in the temple on the last and greatest day of the feast and cried out with urgency: if anyone is thirsty, come to me. He was not offering temporary refreshment. He was offering a spring that would never run dry. The world offers many wells — success, pleasure, approval, wealth. But each one eventually runs dry. We drink and thirst again. Only Christ offers water that satisfies permanently — living water that flows from within, not from without. Notice the invitation: anyone who is thirsty. There is no qualification except need. You do not need to be worthy. You do not need to have it together. You simply need to be thirsty — and willing to come. Today, stop drinking from broken cisterns. Come to the Source. Let His living water fill you until it overflows to everyone around you.
Prayer
Jesus, I am thirsty for You. I have tried to satisfy my soul with things that cannot last. Today I come to You — the Source of living water. Fill me until I overflow. Let rivers of Your Spirit flow through me to refresh everyone I encounter. I drink deeply of Your grace today. Amen.
