A New Creation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
When you came to Christ, something radical happened. You were not merely improved — you were remade. The old you, with its guilt, shame, and bondage, passed away. A new creation emerged — one defined not by your past but by His grace. This is not a gradual upgrade. It is a complete transformation. God does not patch up the old life; He gives an entirely new one. Your identity is no longer rooted in what you have done but in what Christ has done for you. Yet many believers still live as though the old has not gone. They carry yesterday's failures into today's freedom. They define themselves by wounds that Christ has already healed. Today, receive this truth: you are new. The old is gone. You are not who you used to be. Walk in the freedom of your new identity — a beloved child of God, made new by His grace.
Prayer
Father, thank You for making me new. I release the old — the guilt, the shame, the failures that no longer define me. I am a new creation in Christ. Help me to live from this identity today. When the enemy reminds me of my past, remind me of my future. I am Yours, and I am new. In Jesus' name, Amen.
