Trusting God's Plan

2026-08-29

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

This verse was spoken to a people in exile — displaced, discouraged, and far from home. God did not promise immediate rescue. He promised a plan. A future. A hope. And He asked them to trust Him in the waiting. God's plans are not always our plans. His timeline is not always ours. But His intentions toward us are always good. He sees the full picture when we can only see the next step. He knows the end from the beginning. Trusting God's plan means releasing our grip on control. It means believing that even when life does not make sense, God is still working. It means choosing faith over fear, surrender over striving, and hope over despair. Today, whatever uncertainty you face, remember: God has a plan for you. It is good. It is purposeful. And it will not fail.

Prayer

Father, I trust Your plan for my life — even when I cannot see it clearly. Help me to release my need for control and rest in Your sovereignty. Your plans are good, Your timing is perfect, and Your love for me is unfailing. I choose to hope in You today, knowing that my future is secure in Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
